John W. Hupp has practiced law at Defrees & Fiske since his graduation from law school - as an associate from 1953 through 1959, as a member from 1960 through 1998, and thereafter as counsel to the firm. Mr. Hupp has concentrated his practice in the areas of corporate and business law. He has extensive experience in handling a wide variety of corporate transactions, including mergers, share exchanges, acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, and liquidations. Mr. Hupp has also served as lead counsel for a number of family, employee, and publicly owned companies over extended periods.

Mr. Hupp is a member of the Chicago, Illinois and American Bar Associations.

He received his B.S. degree from Northwestern University in 1950 and his J. D. degree from the University of Michigan in 1953.
