Carl R. Klein joined the Firm as a Member in March, 2006. Mr. Klein has over thirty years of experience, specializing in corporate and securities law along with merger and acquisition transactions. His legal career began as a staff attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington D.C. where he served for five years. Mr. Klein has assisted clients with: compliance with Federal and state securities laws; public and private securities offerings; corporate governance and shareholder matters; general business and contractual issues; the purchase, sale or combination of business entities; and bank or other financing. He has advised buyers and sellers, issuers and underwriters, along with borrowers and lenders over the course of his practice. Mr. Klein holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce (1967) and a J.D. degree from the Indiana University School of Law (1970). He is admitted to practice with the Illinois and Washington, D.C. bars and is a past Chairman of the Securities Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association and a member of the American Bar Association.
